About LineSweep
Built from the restaurant side of the problem.
LineSweep turns restaurant invoices into purchasing, cost, and inventory intelligence — automatically.
Why it exists
Restaurants already have the data. It is trapped in paperwork.
LineSweep was founded by Ryan Nielsen, a former executive chef who experienced firsthand how much useful business information passes through a restaurant in the form of invoices—and how difficult that information can be to organize and use.
Traditional systems often ask operators to build item databases, enter package details, configure integrations, or change established workflows before the software becomes useful. LineSweep starts with something the restaurant is already receiving: its invoices.
Upload those invoices, forward them by email, or have a distributor or bookkeeper send them directly. LineSweep organizes the purchasing history behind them so operators and advisors can understand spending, price changes, item costs, cost centers, and inventory without beginning with a blank database.
The operating idea
The invoices a restaurant already receives should make the business easier to understand—not create more work.
LineSweep is being built around that premise: start with real purchasing data, make the setup lighter, surface what changed, and keep the underlying information reviewable by the people who know the operation.
Founder
Ryan Nielsen
Ryan is a former executive chef and the founder of LineSweep. He built the company around problems he encountered in restaurant operations: changing vendor prices, fragmented purchasing information, time-consuming inventory setup, and the gap between receiving invoices and actually learning from them.
That operating background continues to shape the product. LineSweep is designed to ask less of restaurant teams while turning the information they already generate into something useful.
