Effective July 30, 2026
LineSweep uses restaurant invoice data to provide purchasing, price, cost-center, inventory, and reporting tools and to improve support for invoice formats. We do not sell customer data or display one restaurant's information to another restaurant.
Information we collect
- Account information, including restaurant name, contact name, email address, and password credentials.
- Invoice files and the purchasing information extracted from them, including vendor, location, item, price, quantity, and invoice-total information.
- Categories, cost centers, split rules, inventory settings, waste entries, and other choices saved in the dashboard.
- Technical and service information needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve LineSweep.
How we use information
We use customer information to create and secure accounts, process invoices, populate dashboards, match invoices to restaurant locations, provide support, investigate errors, improve extraction accuracy, and improve the reliability of the service.
Invoice processing and AI providers
LineSweep uses dedicated parsers for supported invoice formats. When a PDF, photo, or CSV layout is unfamiliar, LineSweep may send the invoice content to an AI extraction provider, including Anthropic's Claude API, to identify the vendor and organize the invoice data. We use service providers only to operate LineSweep and require them to process information on our behalf.
Improving invoice format support
When LineSweep encounters an unfamiliar invoice format or cannot process an invoice reliably, we may retain a copy of the uploaded invoice for review by authorized LineSweep personnel. We may use these samples to develop, test, validate, and troubleshoot invoice parsers and improve extraction accuracy for that distributor. Samples may contain the restaurant, contact, vendor, location, and purchasing information visible on the invoice. They are not sold, used for advertising, displayed to other customers, or used by LineSweep to train a general-purpose AI model.
How information is shared
We do not sell customer information. We may share information with infrastructure, database, email-delivery, AI-processing, monitoring, and support providers that help us operate LineSweep. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect LineSweep, our customers, or others.
Storage and retention
LineSweep retains account information, uploaded invoice files, parser-development samples, extracted invoice records, and saved dashboard settings while an account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the service, improve invoice format support, maintain reliable audit records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Access to parser-development samples is restricted to authorized personnel. Contact us to request a copy, correction, or deletion of your account data.
Security
We use administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect customer information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so customers should use a unique password and promptly contact us if they suspect unauthorized access.
Your choices
You may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your account information by emailing hello@linesweep.net. Some records may be retained when required for security, audit, dispute-resolution, or legal purposes.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as LineSweep evolves. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date.
